Sticks and stones

walk outside, even in the lawn of a cit home or the playground of an urban school you will find some basic elements of nature- sticks and stones. Rock and wood from seashore, to mountain, in desert,in planted field, in forest and even in our towns and metropolitan areas stand as evidence of  raw earth in our lives.

Rough, crude, simple and natural. Sticks and stones hot in the heat, cold in the cold ,they  take on the weather and the ages and stand to display to us how time and climate can touch us all

Sticks and stones are capable of breaking our bones, yet they can be used to set and heal those same bones, build fortresses, monuments, bridges and shelters and cities.

 saying 77 Gospel of Thomas:

Jesus says: "I am the light which is on them all. I am the All, and the All has gone out from me and the All has come back to me. Cleave the wood: I am there; lift the stone and thou shalt find me there!"
